About Me

Born in Rhode Island and a lifelong New Englander, albeit with a five-year detour through the Finger Lakes of NY and Santa Barbara CA, I've been working in broadcast radio and multimedia webcasting since my third day of college.

Prior to becoming the Chief Engineer of Rhode Island Public Radio (d/b/a The Public's Radio) in 2012, I've worked at, with, or for a multitude of NPR and college radio outlets: including WBUR (Boston University), WEOS & WHWS (Hobart & William Smith Colleges), KCSB (UC, Santa Barbara), KCBX (San Luis Obispo), WMFO (Tufts University), WBRS (Brandeis University), WZBC (Boston College), WZLY (Wellesley College), and also the public radio programs The Infinite Mind and Living on Earth.

My degree is a BA in Psychology from Boston University,  of all things, but I spent far more time at the campus radio station (WTBU) than I did on my regular studies.  :)

I'm a Certified Broadcast Technologist in the Society of Broadcast Engineers, and I relish my "jack of all trades" reputation more than I probably should.

In 2023 I launched an independent LLC (L&R Broadcast Services) with my longtime friend and mentor Michael LeClair, providing broadcast engineering services on a contract basis.
